Alice "Jean" Whitten (Beauchamp) March 31, 1936 - August 31, 2024 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alice "Jean" Whitten (Beauchamp), a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Jean passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family at her youngest daughters' home. Born on March 31, 1936, to Joseph and Lillian Beauchamp, Jean was the embodiment of strength, love, and dedication. She was the younger of two children and was deeply loved by her older brother, Joseph Beauchamp Jr., and his wife, Betty, who currently resides in Alaska. Jean married and became Alice Jean Whitten, a name she chose to keep throughout her life, to keep the same last name as her beloved children. For 25 plus years, she devoted herself to nurturing her family with unwavering love and care. Her greatest joys in life were being a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jean had a creative spirit with a keen eye for beauty and constantly desired to make others feel special. She found joy in arts and crafts, shopping, and had a talent for doing hair and makeup. She was also known for her fiery sense of humor. She was always ready with a witty remark or a joke to lighten the mood. She is preceded in death by her eldest son, Joel M. Whitten and her grandson, Michael W. Whitten. Despite these losses, Jean remained a pillar of strength for her family, providing comfort and guidance through the hardest of times. Jean is survived by her children: Richard "Richie" Whitten; Robbie (Angie) Whitten; Samantha (Jody) Arrington; and Amelia "Amy" Whitten. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Katherine "Kathie" Whitten; Anthony (Tasha) Trosper; Taylan (Hannah) Whitten; Jaydon Whitten; Michael Whitten; and Andrew Arrington, and her great-grandchildren: Skylar Trosper; Heather Trosper; Michael Trosper; Carmen Whitten; Gabby Whitten; Payton Whitten; Jaxson Whitten, and Oaklynn Whitten. A private service will be held for the family on Saturday 9/7/2024 to honor and celebrate Jean's life and legacy.
