Anthony "Tony" Dale Galloway

Beloved husband, dad, brother, uncle, and grandfather (G-Pop), Anthony Dale Galloway, 64, of Senoia, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. He was born on February 21, 1959 in Ft. Payne, Alabama to the late Max Dorman Galloway & Lenora Jane McNutt Galloway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Garry Galloway and Mark Galloway. Tony grew up in Mentone, Alabama and spent most of his "elementary school" years there. He attended Moon Lake Elementary School. His family moved to Mableton, Georgia where Tony attended and graduated from Pebblebrook High School. He was a proud graduate of Auburn University (1981) with a degree in Building Science & Construction. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. He worked for several companies as a project manager and senior project manager for water & wastewater treatment divisions along with other projects for 40 years. He was very proud of carrying on that legacy as his grandfather and father were in the same field. He loved working outside in his yard and had a green thumb. He also was very adept at woodworking and auto mechanics. His faith, deeply rooted, found expression in his membership and Sunday School teaching, being a deacon and helping with youth ministry at Forestdale Freewill Baptist Church, Hillview Baptist Church and Westwood Baptist Church in Forestdale, Al and Valleydale Baptist Church in Birmingham, Al and at New Hope Baptist Church in Senoia, GA. He enjoyed coaching his children and many others in soccer in the Adamsville and Birmingham areas for 10 years. One girls' team (Tony's Tigers) made it to the regional championships! He also coached many Upward Basketball teams. He oversaw the Awana Program at Westwood Baptist Church for 5 years where 180 children attended. Tony loved his Lord and served and shared that love throughout his life. Tony enjoyed helping his wife, Kenna, with the care of many foster dogs that showed him love and appreciation through the years. The Celebration of Life Visitation will be on Saturday, March 9. 2024 between 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at McKoon Funeral Home 38 Jackson Street Newnan, Ga 30263.
