It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Anne Brimer, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, who departed this world peacefully from natural causes on June 9, 2025. Born on December 9, 1940, in Augusta, Georgia, Carol embraced life with a warmth that touched all who knew her. She called Newnan, Georgia, her home, where she cultivated a home filled with laughter, love, and the gentle fragrance of her cherished garden of artificial flowers, a testament to her unique spirit and joyful creativity. As an accomplished accountant, Carol dedicated her professional life to PCDC and later Operation Mobilization, where she lent her talents to support a mission greater than herself. Her legacy extends beyond her career; Carol was a compassionate caregiver and an ever-present hugger, always ready with an embrace or a light-hearted joke to lift the spirits of those around her. Her laughter and kindness created a bright light in the lives of her family and friends. In honoring the rich tapestry of her life, we invite all who loved Carol to join us for her funeral services on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Crossroads Church, Hwy 154 Campus, 2564 GA-154, Newnan, GA 30265, with pastor John Hobbs officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until service time. In the embrace of family and friends, we will celebrate Carol's life, a life that flourished with affection, laughter, and an unwavering zest for bringing joy to others. As we gather to share our memories, let us find solace in knowing that Carol's spirit will forever bloom in the hearts of those she loved. Carol is survived by her sons, Brian Brimer and Ben (Shirley) Brimer; grandchildren, Maggie, Mollie, Michael, Matthew, Mary Rose, Malachi, Grace, Gabriel, John David (Anna), Katherine (Cole), and Isabelle; one great grandchild; her sisters, Phyllis (Alton) Arnold and Arlene (Danny) Thompson; and a community that will greatly miss her joy and spirit. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Stockton, Jr., and Phyllis Byrne Stockton; her husband, Johnny E. Brimer, Jr.; and her daughter, Margaret Marie Brimer.
