Cynthia Horsley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Cynthia Horsley, who left us on the 2nd of March 2025. Cynthia was a cherished member of our community, touching the lives of many with their kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit. Cynthia was born on October 4th, 1982, in Beaufort, SC. From a young age, she exhibited a zest for life and a curiosity that would shape her future endeavors. She attended and graduated from Whale Branch High School in Beaufort, SC, where she developed a passion for Cosmetology. Cynthia's professional journey was marked by dedication and excellence. She began her career in Douglasville, Georgia, where her hard work and innovative ideas quickly set her apart, owning and operating her own Salon. Over the years, Cynthia mastered the most challenging aspects of the field of cosmetology, including hair, lashes, and other areas. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Cynthia was a person of great warmth and compassion and had a wonderful sense of humor. She built a life filled with love and laughter. She often cared for children other than her own. As a devoted parent and grandparent, Cynthia instilled values of integrity, perseverance, and respect in her children. She is survived by three sons, Gabe, DJ, and Christopher, all of Douglasville, GA; and one daughter, Angel, of Douglasville, GA; her father, Christopher Horsley of Walterboro, SC; her mother, Magdaline Parrish of Jacksonville, NC; her brother, Scott Horsley of San Antonio, TX; and one grandchild, Ruby. Cynthia's legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew her. Her unwavering optimism, infectious smile, and generosity will be remembered and cherished. She left behind a family who will continue to honor their memory by living with the same passion and love that Cynthia exemplified. The funeral service to celebrate Cynthia's life will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Noon at McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, GA. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, 1100 Hickory Level Road, Villa Rica, GA 30180. Rest in peace, dear Cynthia.
