GUSSIE BARRON REYNOLDS “DEE” Dee Reynolds died September 24, 2011 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Dee was born in Newnan, GA on November 10, 1925 to the late Charles Lee Barron and Gussie Boynton Barron. Dee lived her entire life in Newnan. She was educated in the Newnan Public Schools, and spent a short semester at Shorter College, coming home to Newnan because she said she missed the Cole Shop whistle. Dee was a child and later a lady of Newnan and the South, and she possessed all of the charm, grace, and beauty of a Southern lady. Dee was a decorator by vocation and nature, and spent her life making her surroundings more beautiful, and by extension creating personal beauty in her path. Along with beauty she adorned all with her good nature and warmth. She was married to David William Reynolds in 1946 and created a beautiful marriage and family for sixty-four years. She now resides with her beloved husband, and is surely creating beauty in their heavenly home. She was, “As a wife devoted, as a friend compassionate, and as a mother ever kind and true”. Grandchildren David Garnet Reynolds, Jr. and wife Leigh Hodges Reynolds, John Barber Reynolds, and Jean Lee Reynolds. Great Grandchildren David Garnet Reynolds, III and William Whitworth Reynolds. Sisters Evelyn Barron Thompson, Ruth Barron Mealor, Charlsie Barron Farmer, and Katherine Barron Cane. She was preceded in death by her husband David William Reynolds, son Charles Eldrid Reynolds, parents Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Barron, and sister Laura Barron Williams. The funeral is Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM, graveside at Oak Hill Cemetery with Dr. Joel Richardson officiating.
