Ike Allen Hudson 02/20/1954-03/26/2023 It's with an immense amount of sadness that the loved ones of Ike Allen Hudson announce his passing on March 26th, 2023. He is preceded in death by his father and mother "Gene" and Susie Hudson, and his father in-law and mother in-law, Bruce Payton and Fay Payton Ward. It's difficult to define someone with a word, but in a best attempt, Ike was caring. He was the definition of a doting husband, father, grandfather, and father in-law. A request would barely be spoken into existence before he was acting on it. Always attentive. Always available. To say he will be missed is an understatement that can't be measured. He was the foundation, cornerstone, and pillar of his family. Nothing will fill the hole his absence has left. Ike would have been the first one to tell you he had met and befriended numerous people throughout his years as an attorney, but the one person that made Ike whole, was his long love and friendship with his wife, Rena. The two were married 34 years ago, and have been inseparable ever since. They laughed together, cried together, traveled together, had happy and sad times together, and raised two children together, Rachel and Bruce. Rachel and her husband Josh Moeckel gave Ike and Rena three beautiful granddaughters: Lillie, Payton, and Nora. Ike loved to cook for and aggravate his granddaughters but loved them in a way only Papa could. Bruce and his wife Laura Lambert gave them a granddog: Tucker. Ike fed Tucker way more table scraps than he would ever admit and thought he had gotten away with it. He is also survived by his brother's in-law Rickey (Pam) Payton and Robbie (Amanda) Payton, as well as many nephews and nieces. His family is having visitation on Tuesday March 28th, 2023 at McKoon's Funeral Home at 38 Jackson St., Newnan, Georgia between the hours of 6pm to 8pm. There will be a private service for Ike's immediate family later. He selflessly participated in a clinical trial in the hopes of finding a cure for his children, grandchildren, and everyone else's. Caring is the word that best describes him.
