Katherine "Kathi" Mullen Chandler

Mrs. Katherine “Kathi” Monica Chandler nee (Mullen) passed unexpectedly from a heart attack in Al Ain, UAE on January 25, 2017 at the age of 53. Kathi is preceded in death by her father James J. Mullen of Metairie, LA, who passed in 1966, mother Marie Mullen Zimprich and father Robert J. Zimprich, both of Lumberton, MS. She is also preceded in death by her nephew Christopher Gallagher of Franklin, WI along with loving aunts and uncles. Kathi is survived by her loving husband and soul mate Geoffrey “Geoff” Chandler, and four children; Dexter (Kelly) Putnam of Newnan, GA, Austin Putnam of Newnan, GA, Christopher Putnam of Sebastian, FL, Emily Putnam of Al Ain, UAE; siblings, Ray Sims of New Orleans, LA, Teresa (John) Michalewicz of Newnan, GA, Barbara (Rick) Gallagher of Franklin, WI, Robert P. Zimprich of Aurora, CO, David (Delores) Zimprich of Eagle, WI, and William (Zophia) Zimprich of Milwaukee, WI. She is also survived by granddaughters Alayna and Kinsley Putnam of Newnan, GA; nieces, Erin Michalewicz of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Jackie (Glen) Schoen of Bristol, WI and a long list of loving cousins and friends. Kathi was a very compassionate, loving and giving person who always made sure to put others first. Kathi’s greatest love was her family. She felt blessed to have four beautiful children, two grandchildren, and the love of her life, husband Geoff Chandler. She loved her family deeply and took great pride in all of their accomplishments. In recent years Kathi especially cherished her time spent with her granddaughters Alayna and Kinsley, who always made her smile, laugh, and filled her heart with joy. She enjoyed traveling the world with Geoff and Emily to such places as Ireland, London, Sri Lanka, Dubai, Oman, and Abu Dhabi. A favorite passion of hers was dancing with Geoff, especially ballroom. They could really heat up the dance floor; we know she is dancing in heaven. May you rest in peace our sweet angel. The Celebration of Life gathering is Monday, February 6, 2017 from 3 PM until 6 PM with a memorial service at 4 PM at the SummerGrove Town Hall, 333 Summer Grove PKWY, Newnan, GA 30265.
