Leo Epperson Houck January 7, 1929 - June 25, 2025 Leo Epperson Houck, age 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Southwest Christian Care in Union City, Georgia. Born on January 7, 1929, in Seminole, Oklahoma, Leo was the beloved son of the late Walter and Mary Epperson Houck. Leo was a man of deep faith and strong family values, living a life marked by kindness, quiet strength, and devotion. He was married for 52 loving years to his wife, Sue Houck, who survives him. Together, they built a life rooted in love, hard work, and shared faith. Leo dedicated 30 years of service to Delta Air Lines before retiring. In his retirement, he fully embraced his hobbies and passions. He was an avid beekeeper, a skilled woodworker, and had a knack for repairing lawnmowers-always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors, friends, and family. Leo was one of nine siblings. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Hank Houck, Denny Houck, and Joe Houck, and his sisters, Elwanda Houck, Wanda Mae, and Dorothy Jo. He is survived by his brothers Bill Houck and George Houck. Above all, Leo cherished his role as a family man. He is survived by his children: Elaine Wilson, Mary Beth Burrier, Rickey Sizemore, and Lonnie Sizemore. He was preceded in death by his son, Calvin Leo Houck. Leo also leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren-each of whom he treasured and prayed for daily. His influence, warmth, and steady presence will be remembered across generations. The service celebrating Leo's life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, GA, with Pastor Jake Gould officiating.
