Love (Elizabeth) Wilson Cutchshaw Love Cutchshaw of Loganville, Georgia died Thursday, May 23, 2013, following a brief illness. She was 90. She was born on November 21, 1922, in Pensacola, Florida to Lura Maud Toliver Wilson and Leonard Suttle Wilson. She grew up in Newnan, Georgia with her four siblings during the Great Depression. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Holbrook, her brother, Leonard Wilson, Jr., husband, Robert Charles Cutchshaw, son, Robert Charles Cutchshaw, Jr., son-in-law, Mike Abbeglen, and granddaughter, Beth Abbeglen. After graduating from high school at age 16, she attended Georgia State College for Women where she received her teaching certificate. She began her teaching career in a one room school house, and later worked as a Title One teacher for the Decatur City School System. She is noted for her generosity, kindness, and patience to the children she taught. Love was a talented singer, an avid reader, and a gifted writer. Memories of her beautiful alto voice, along with her stories and poetry, are lasting treasures for her family and friends. She raised her five children in Decatur, Georgia, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was devoted to her faith, and will be remembered for her sweet and powerful testimony, and shining example. She held many callings through the years, but was especially fond of performing genealogical work. Well before the age of computers, she spent countless hours traveling to Virginia and North Carolina to gather historical information for her research. These journeys brought her joy, and led her to publish three family genealogies. She served as the president of the Newnan Genealogical Society for a period of time, and helped many people track their own ancestry. Survivors include her siblings, Carolyn Wilson Burson and Walter Scott and Billie Zane Wilson; children, Sherry and Will Thomas of Blackfoot, ID, Susan Abegglen of Idaho Falls, ID, Melissa and Steve Mills of Loganville, GA, and Adrian and Abigail Cutchshaw of Cleveland, GA; 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
