Pedro Jose Manuel Arce Lopez

Pedro Jose Manuel Arce Lopez, age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 27, 1935, in Matanzas, Cuba to the late Jose Maria Arce Bueras and Juana Lopez Vega. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a strong work ethic, and provided deeply for his family during his life. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He completed his Christian Initiation in 2013 and faithfully attended Mass at St. George Catholic Church (Newnan) with his wife, son, daughter in law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was known, loved, and looked upon kindly. Pedro is survived by his wife of 63 years, Teresa De Jesus Berlinda Marcote Rodriguez; and son, Pedro Santo Arce and his wife, Marlene Arce; grandchildren, Howard Arce, Hardry Arce, and his wife, Alejandra Ramirez, and Darleine Arce; great-grandchildren, Hailey Arce, Taylor Arce, Katherine Arce, and Ethan Arce. Pedro is also survived by his cousins, Mireya Carmenate and Lucia ; nephews, Felix Jesus Arce, Jesus Arce, Humberto Perez and Ubaldo Perez, and niece, Laura Marta Arce. The funeral Mass celebrating the life Pedro lived will take place on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church (591 Flint River Road, Jonesboro, GA 30238) with Rev. John Koziol, OFM Conv. officiating. The family invites family and friends to join them on Sunday evening from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel to pray the rosary and visit. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Catholic Relief Services in memory of Pedro Jose Arce Lopez. Nació el 27 de septiembre de 1935 en Matanzas, Cuba, hijo del difunto José María Arce Bueras y Juana López Vega. Tenía una fuerte ética de trabajo y proporcionó profundamente a su familia, amigos y conocidos durante su vida. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y amistades y en su juventud disfrutaba bañarse en la playa o el río. Completó su Iniciación Cristiana en 2013 y asistió fielmente a Misa en la Iglesia Católica St. George (Newnan) con su esposa, hijo, nuera, nietos y bisnietos. Era conocido, amado y mirado con bondad. A Pedro también le sobreviven sus primas, Mireya Carmenate y Lucía; sobrinos, Félix Jesús Arce, Jesús Arce, Humberto Perez y Ubaldo Perez, y sobrina, Laura Marta Arce. La misa fúnebre que celebra la vida que vivió Pedro se llevará a cabo el lunes 14 de marzo de 2022 a las 10:30 a.m. en la iglesia católica St. Philip Benizi (591 Flint River Road, Jonesboro, GA 30238) con el reverendo John Koziol, OFM Conv. oficiando. La familia invita a familiares y amigos a unirse a ellos el domingo por la noche de 5:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. en la capilla de McKoon's Funeral Home para rezar el rosario y visitar.
