Robin A. Gracia

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robin Anne Gracia of Newnan, Georgia, who peacefully departed on June 18, 2025, at the age of 65, surrounded by her loved ones at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Born on July 21, 1959, in Norfolk, Virginia, Robin lived a life characterized by selflessness, consistently prioritizing the happiness of family, friends, and pets. Robin was the cherished wife of John A. Gracia for 44 years, having met during their teenage years in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Following brief residencies in Florida and Pennsylvania during their early twenties, Robin and John settled in Lawrenceville, Georgia, where Robin contributed significantly to the management offices of two prominent malls, Gwinnett Place and Lenox Square, over a span of more than 30 years. Robin was a dedicated mother to her two children, John and Katy, born in 1981 and 1989 respectively. She adeptly managed a busy household, especially during periods when her husband was traveling for business. She instilled an exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence in her children, immersing herself in their academic and athletic pursuits. Robin was immensely proud of her children and ensured they never missed significant events or commitments. Her resilience and dedication were inspirational, and she will be deeply missed. In 2015, Robin and John relocated to Newnan, Georgia, where Robin chose to retire, enjoying leisure activities such as relaxing by the pool, watching Braves baseball, and indulging her dogs with treats. Robin is survived by her husband, John A. Gracia, of Newnan, Georgia; her son, John N. (Emmie) Gracia, of Alpharetta, Georgia; her daughter, Kathryn Gracia (Chase) Blankenship, of Fairbanks, Alaska; and her grandchildren, Lola, Ellis, and Salem Blankenship, and John V. "LJ" Gracia. She also leaves behind her brother, Thomas Turner, of La Plata, Maryland; her aunt, Anne R. Casas, of Norfolk, Virginia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws who hold fond memories of her. Robin was predeceased by her mother, Jean R. Johnson, her father, Bruce Turner, and her sister, Jennifer Jean Turner Gilbert. A memorial service to celebrate Robin's life will be conducted on Friday, June 27, 2025. Visitation starts at 3 PM, followed by a service at 4PM in the chapel at McKoon Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, Georgia 30263.
