Thomas "Tom" Stuckey

Tom Stuckey, beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather and passionate outdoorsman, passed away peacefully on January 29 at the age of 77. He lived a life of outdoor adventures, love, and unwavering dedication to his family. A true outdoorsman at heart, Tom found solace in nature, whether he was hunting in the crisp morning air or simply spending time with the animals he cherished. He had a deep respect for the land and wildlife, passing down his love for the great outdoors to his family and all who knew him. Above all, Tom was a loving husband to Debbie, a proud father to Allison, father-in-law to Braulio, and grandfather to Jack. His greatest joy was found in the time spent with his family-sharing stories, laughter, and lessons that will be carried out for generations. His kindness, strength, and wisdom were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his wife Debbie, daughter Allison, son-in-law Braulio, grandson Jack, and his siblings, Paul (and Dianne) Stuckey, Mary (and Charlie) Moran, Joel Stuckey, and Amy (and Greg) Orr. There is an extended family of nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his mother-in-law Nancy Burks, brother-in-law Tony Burks and his wife Karen. Tom leaves behind a dear friend, Keith Sale, who was like the son he never had. The most genuine honor that any of us could give to Tom would be to continue his example of living a life where the most important parts of life are the people we love and for whom we care. "Well done, my good and faithful servant." A service to honor the life of this good man will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary of Central Baptist Church. A reception will precede this service in the church fellowship hall beginning at 1:30 PM. Stories will be told (some true), some tears of joy may be shed, but God, through Tom's storied life, will be glorified. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations may be made to honor Tom's life to either Feeding Our Friends ministry at Central Baptist Church (centralbaptistchurchnewnan.org) or to The Elim Baptist church Cemetery Fund 1529 Handy Road Newnan GA 30263.
