Timothy Robert Calland

Mr. Timothy "Timmy C" Robert Calland, 59, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at his home in Palmetto. He was born May 29, 1963, in Mansfield, Ohio to Sharon Kay Moder and the late Robert Howard Calland. He grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, and then later moved to Marietta, Georgia in 1976 where he graduated from Walton High School in 1981. After graduation, he earned his associate's degree at Southern Technical College in Marietta. Tim always had a love for cars so it's fitting he began his career in the auto detailing and paint business. From there he was a collision center manager for Ford, GMC, and other independent shops until finally transitioning to an insurance adjuster. Tim and his father Bob loved to buy and restore vintage automobiles, especially Corvette Stingrays. Tim had a fierce love for hunting and sport shooting which led him to become a certified NRA instructor. He loved anything country and western, including music, and rodeos, and especially his beloved pickup trucks. Later in his years most of the photos taken were him with his cowboy hat, boots, and sunglasses. Tim adored his parents, Sharon and Bob, and his two girls, Courtney and Jessie. It was well known that his girls were his pride and joy. Tim spent the last 5 years of his life with his wife Beth and their two dogs at their home in Palmetto. Tim and Beth enjoyed taking trips to Horsetown and both of them getting all dressed up in the western wear he loved to sport. Tim is survived by his wife, Beth, his two daughters, Courtney Marie Calland of Newnan, Georgia, and Jessie Olivia Calland of Marietta, Georgia, his four stepchildren, Timothy, Samantha, Mia, and Harvey, his mother, Sharon Madama, stepfather, Len Madama and his sister, Tiffany Wagner, her son, Jaret, and her partner, Al Deaver, all of Westerville, Ohio, and his stepmother, Judy Calland, Jackson Georgia. Tim's parents-in-law are Tim and Ginny Brown. Tim had many extended family and friends, including his best friend, Jay Semple, of Punta Gorda, Florida, his foster sisters, Brenda Mettler and Nikki Peters, and Sandra Marie Whitworth of Jackson, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, March 9, 2023, in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Pastor Sandra Whitworth officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time. In honor of Timmy, the family would like that everyone in attendance wears camo and blue jeans.
