Mark Rubino

Tony Mark Rubino, 62, of Newnan, GA, passed away on April 4th after a 3.5 year battle with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Mark was born on April 14, 1962, in Atlanta, GA to Anthony Michael Rubino and Agnes Lousie "Kitty" Rubino (née Craig). Mark graduated from North Clayton high school 1980 and became a long time barber in Tyrone, GA at Tony and Kitty's Barbershop. Mark married Patricia Kaye Rubino (née Kelly) started dating in high school when they were 15 and 16 years old, respectively, and got married on September 18th, 1983 in College Park, GA after 6 years of dating. The two were married for 41 years and had a daughter, Kathryn Kelly Rubino, on March 31, 1997. Mark was a drummer in multiple bands that played around the Newnan and surrounding areas throughout his life including the bands Katfish Kings and Staggerstep. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle on cross-country journeys outwest to enjoy the mountains and deserts. Mark always found himself tinkering with something: cars, tractors, and anything else he could get his hands on. He looked forward to moving to Dale Hollow lake in Tennessee to fish and to live the lake life. Mark is survived by his beloved family: wife, Kaye Rubino; daughter, Kathryn Rubino; furbabies, Ellie and Bella; brothers, Steven Michael "Stevie" Rubino (Helen) and Robert David "Bobby" Rubino (Ellan); sister, Donita Carol Rubino (Dave); nieces, Stephanie Secor (Kevin), Deshon Brown, and Makisha Lawson; Nephews, Joseph Rubino (Linda), Josh Lawson, Michael Rubino (April), Noah Lawson; great nieces, Jordan Stender, Zoe Rubino, Taylor Gann; great nephews, Cowan Bishop (Ashley), Butch Brown, Brett Brown, Andrew Secor, Alex Secor, Anthony Rubino, Jonny Rubino; great-great nephew Wyatt Lawson; and many in-law relatives. Mark is preceded in death by his mother Kitty Rubino, father Anthony Rubino, and Ellan Rubino. There will be no visitation or funeral services, but instead a party (date announcement forthcoming) will be held in his honor to drink and be merry.
