Adriana Gloria Walman

Mrs. Adriana Gloria Walman, age 65, of Newnan, Georgia passed away peacefully in her sleep late Saturday, July 13th, 2024 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 9, 1959 in Bogota, Colombia to the late Josephine Paez and Romulo Rodriguez. Adriana was one of 9 siblings. Two sisters, Fabiola Paez, and Norma Paez. And six brothers, Romulo Paez, Mauricio Paez, Rene Paez, Orlando Paez, Nicolas Paez, and Alejandro Paez. After Adriana received travel and tourism training in Miami, Florida, she landed a job in the Documentation Department at DER Tours in Los Angeles, California. During a German Tour Operator travel function held at the Los Angeles Hilton, Adriana met her future husband, Jim Walman, who was attending the same travel function as a Sales Representative for Delta Air Lines. They were married November 6, 1993 in Escondido, California. They had two children, Lauren, born on November 18, 1995 (age 28), and Michael, born on July 29, 1997 (age 27). Lauren graduated with a BA in International Affairs in May 2018 from the University of Georgia. Michael graduated with a BS in Aerospace in May 2020 from Middle Tennessee State University. Adriana was a devoted member of Saint Mary Magdalene Church in Newnan, GA. She believed that God wants everyone to hear His word and be saved. To this end, she asked Jim to convert to Catholicism and he responded, "As long as you are my sponsor." She also became a church leader by starting a Rosary Group that prayed The Rosary together every Wednesday night after mass. Adriana and all her immediate family are devout Catholics. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.mckoon.com Visitation will be held Thursday. July 18, 2024 at McKoon Funeral Home between 6:30PM to 8PM. There will be a Rosary service at 6 PM. The funeral mass will be Friday, July 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magalene Catholic Church, 3 Village Road, Newnan, GA 30265. Father Terry Crone officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park 656 Roscoe Road in Newnan, GA where Adriana will be laid to rest.
