Scott Mills, beloved husband, father, friend, and esteemed colleague, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 61. Born on July 12, 1962, Scott was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him. He was a man of unwavering integrity, compassion, and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. Scott's professional journey was marked by brilliance and dedication. After serving with honor in the Air Force, he pursued his education and graduated from Austin Peay State University. Following his studies, he thrived as a Database Analyst for Georgia Pacific for 33 years. His innovative mindset and tireless commitment to excellence garnered admiration and respect from colleagues throughout his career. Beyond his professional achievements, Scott's profound legacy emanates from the depth of his relationships. Known affectionately as "The Big Guy," he was a devoted husband to his beloved spouse Corrine Mills and a cherished father to Kristen (Chris), Phil (Chasity), and Houston (Sierra). Alongside his grandchildren, including Ella, Madyson, Rylee, Bristol, Rhea, Colton, Camryn, Jackson, and Haisley, who brought immeasurable joy into his life, his family was the center of his world, and his love for them knew no bounds. Scott is also survived by his mother, Betty Mills, and his brother Craig Mills (Denice)-Northeast High School class of '83 and his Nieces Jordan and Taylor. He is also preceded in death by his father Houston W. Mills. Scott's warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine compassion endeared him to everyone he encountered. Whether sharing stories over a glass of bourbon or offering a helping hand to those in need, he touched countless lives with his generosity and empathy. In his spare time, Scott cherished various passions. Foremost among them was his deep love for sports, especially the Tennessee Vols. He was an enthusiastic collector who took pleasure in restoring old treasures like gumball machines. Scott also found joy in riding motorcycles, rocking out to music, grilling, and sharing valuable life lessons with others. Though Scott may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will continue to illuminate our lives with memories of his boundless love and unwavering presence.
